Hello all! After having to reinstall Firestorm, I thought I might as well share my camera settings that give a more Gears of War-esque feel, a far more immersive angle than what LL gives us by default. You may still zoom in and out with the scroll wheel, and camming about remains unaffected (alt-key panning).

Don't forget to switch on the following feature in your Preference settings (Move & View) to keep headaches to a minimum:

For this to work you'll have to go to your Debug Settings (CTRL-ALT-SHIFT-S). We'll be changing the perimeters [cameraoffsetrearview] and [focusoffsetrearview]. You'll have to make changes in both for this to work.

Close Camera
CameraOffset:
x: -2.000
y: -0.900 ( Make positive for a left shoulder offset, leave as 0.000 for a centred view. )
z: -0.200

FocusOffset:
x: 0.900
y: -0.600 ( Make positive for a left shoulder offset, leave as 0.000 for a centred view. )
z: 0.200

In the Preference settings, I have camera distance set at 0.68 to align center.

Distant Camera
CameraOffset:
x: -2.000
y: -0.800 ( Make positive for a left shoulder offset, leave as 0.000 for a centred view. )
z: -0.100

FocusOffset:
x: 0.900
y: -1.000 ( Make positive for a left shoulder offset, leave as 0.000 for a centred view. )
z: 1.000

In the Preference settings, I have camera distance set at 1.30 to align center.
